Based on nucleic acid amplification, Speed-oligo® presents all the advantages of molecular biology in quick detection for infectious diseases, providing immediate, highly sensitive and specific results.
The Speed-oligo® kits contain lyophilized PCR mix and a disposable cassette including test strip. The user just needs to resuspend the prepared PCR mix and add the extracted clinical sample. After the amplification, the samples are processed in the automatic platform, Speed-oligo® Workstation, which is capable of processing up to 16 samples per cycle in 15-20 minutes. This compact and walk-away instrument carries out the entire post-amplification process (detection, reading and interpretation of results) providing a very practical and intuitive report for the clinical use.
The Speed-oligo® technique is also available in strip format and the implementation of the post-amplification process can be performed manually.
Thanks to the double hybridization, Speed-oligo® avoids the detection of unspecific amplified fragments providing excellent specificity to this multiplex testing in molecular diagnosis.
