Promoting Vircell's molecular diagnostic solutions in the Brazilian market
Last November 28th – December 2nd, Vircell travelled to Brazil to promote its molecular diagnostic solutions in the Brazilian market in collaboration with its exclusive distributor in the country, Medivax Industria e Comercio Ltda.
Dr. Pablo Mendoza – Director of the Molecular Biology Department at Vicell –, Mr. Benigno Neira – International Area Manager for the Latin American market at Vircell– and Dr. Eliane Laurentino - Product Manager, Molecular Biology at Medivax - run a Live Demo tour on the Speed-oligo® technique, complemented with our exclusive PCR Controls product line, in some of the most prestigious laboratories of Brazil: DASA and Albert Einstein Medicina Diagnóstica in Sao Paulo, SalomãoZoppi Diagnósticosand Fiocruz in Rio de Janeiro and Hospital das Forças Armadas (HFA) in Brasilia.
The Speed-oligo® technique, enhanced by the automatic reading system that has been specifically launched for this product line (VIRCELL STRIPS READING SYSTEM), aroused a high interest among the laboratory staff present at the training after checking the simplicity and speed in the early diagnosis that this technology offers. Product testing will be carried out by these laboratories aiming to include this innovative PCR-based technique in their routine laboratory testing.
Our ever-growing PCR Controls product line, with more than 85 references available at present, was also received with stunning satisfaction by participants, some of whom are currently using them as part of their routine. In response to customers’ request, Vircell is negotiating the development of new customized controls to meet the specific testing needs of these laboratories on the basis of our in-house expertise.
