Vircell at 23rd ECCMID - Berlin, Germany

European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

The 23rd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), which took place in  Berlin (27 – 30 April), brought together more than 10,000 scientists and clinicians from around the world to share state of the art updates, experience and information on cutting edge science and technology.

Vircell, once again, was present as exhibitor in one of the most important congresses about infectious diseases around the world. During all these days, our staff had the opportunity to meet with some of our distributors, key opinion leaders and potential customers interested in our products.

We are very pleased with the great interest all our visitors showed in our diagnostic solutions, with a special note on our Molecular Biology line. The ever-growing AmpliRun® Amplification Controls and the, recently launched, AmpliRun® Total (Extraction and Amplification Controls) together with Speed-oligo® product line, became the most popular and demanded lines at this ECCMID’s edition.

Along with the industrial exhibition, Vircell also participated in the poster sessions presenting one scientific communications:

Evaluation of a new version of the rapid oligochromatographic assay Speed-oligo® for the detection of Bordetella spp. in respiratory samples. (P 1917).  P. Mendoza*, I. Pedrosa-Corral, S. Sanbonmatsu-Gámez, M. Pérez-Ruiz, J. Navarro (Granada, ES)

Vircell is very satisfied with this year’s results and deeply thanks all attendees for their visit. It has been a great pleasure and privilege for us to have met such a renowned network of professionals from the field.

We look forward to seeing you all again at the next edition in Barcelona.
