During the first days of November Benigno Neira, Vircell Area Manager for Latin America, traveled to Colombia to support our exclusive distributor in the country, ANNAR DIAGNÓSTICA IMPORT SAS, in the XXII International Congress of Bacteriology. It is, undoubtedly, the most important annual event in the country in this field.
One more year, the National College of Bacteriology organized this event held in Cali. More than 1,500 bacteriologists and experts from Brazil, Spain, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina attended the congress.
ANNAR DIAGNÓSTICA IMPORT SAS participated in the exhibition with a large booth in which Vircell brand occupied a prominent place. AmpliRun® Amplification Controls and the oligochromatographic technique for the diagnosis of tuberculosis,Speed-oligo®, were the products that sparked more interest among the attendees. This latter technology also had repercussions in the poster session, as Dr. Rincones Martínez from Cesar public health laboratory presented the results of his study, "Molecular diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis through the use of the PCR technique Speed-oligo® in the Cesar Department", and extolled the virtues of our technique as a rapid, highly sensitive and specific detection.
On this trip, our colleague Benigno Neira also had the opportunity to visit the most relevant centres in Bogota, Cali and Medellinand was able to meet personally end users from the National Institute of Health, Santafé Foundation in Bogotá, COLSANITAS Clinical Laboratory, Del Valle University, CIDEIM, CEDIT, Valle del Lili Foundation, Dinamica IPS, Cesar Health, Faculty of Medicine Cooperativa University and FALAB Clinical lab, among others. From here we send our most sincere gratitude for the time they spent with us and the excellent treatment we received. We also want to express special recognition to ANNAR DIAGNÓSTICA staff for the extraordinary professionalism shown and their constant effort in the promotion of Vircell products.
