Vircell with the diagnosis of Chagas disease in Mexico

V Workshop on Strategies and Algorithms for the Diagnosis of American Trypanosomiasis. InDRE. Mexico DF.

During last October 8th-12th our exclusive distributor in Mexico, CTR Scientific, participated in the V WORKSHOP ON STRATEGIES AND ALGORITHMS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF AMERICAN TRYPANOSOMIASIS which was held in the Chagas laboratory of InDRE (Mexico, D.F.) In this workshop QCB. Corazón Martínez, product specialist for Vircell, took the opportunity to present our ELISA and IFA kits for the diagnosis of Chagas disease.

More than 25 chemical analysts belonging to the national network of public health laboratories of different States of the country (Chiapas, Yucatan, Tamaulipas, Michoacán, Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Puebla, Nayarit, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Zacatecas, among others) participated in this workshop and all stressed the excellent quality of Vircell products.

There was a special interest in the mixture of the three pure proteins (FRA, B13 and MACH) that are included in our ELISA kits. These proteins provide optimal results in sensitivity and specificity in all areas of prevalence of Chagas disease.

On the other hand, our immunofluorescence product, CHAGAS IFA IgG+IgM, was also highlighted for its good performance and easy interpretation of results. This product will be soon included in the algorithms for the diagnosis of Chagas disease in Mexico.
