European Society of Mycobacteriology
Last June 26th-29th 2011, the 32nd annual meeting of the European Society of Mycobacteriology (ESM) was held in the beautiful city of Lübeck, Germany.
The most prestigious specialists from around the world gathered at this event to share and discuss their experiences and to disseminate its scientific achievements in the field of mycobacteriology and related diseases. As in previous meetings, the conference's scientific program covered a variety of topics ranging issues such as the incidence, diagnosis, treatment and control of tuberculosis (TB) in certain countries or regions; the genome analysis of mycobacteria; the new diagnostics, drugs and quality control; and epidemiology and clinical significance of MOTT- mycobacteria other than tuberculosis.
Under the heading "New diagnostics, drugs and quality control-Session II" which took place on Monday June 27th, Dr. Sabine Hofmann-Thiel (IML- Gauting- WHO supranational reference laboratory for TB) presented the poster "Evaluation of SPEED-OLIGO® MYCOBACTERIA for the rapid differentiation of Mycobacteria sp.- A multi-centre and multi-country survey” with great interest among the attendees. In addition, technical and commercial representation of our company participated with a booth in the exhibition to inform of our products to interested participants.
