European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
The 25th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) has just ended with a total of more than 10,000 delegates. Scientists and clinicians from all over the world gathered in Copenhagen to share state of the art updates, experience and information on cutting edge science and technology. The “Top 5” participating countries have been: USA: 720; UK: 720; Germany: 644; Spain: 605; France: 605.
Vircell, once again, was present as exhibitor in one of the most important congresses about infectious diseases around the world. During these days, our staff had the opportunity to meet with some of our distributors, key opinion leaders and potential customers interested in our products.
We are very pleased with the great interest all our visitors showed in our diagnostic solutions, with a special note on our VirClia Monotest product line together with the ThunderBolt® automated platform and with the improved Speed-oligo® cassette and Speed-oligo® Workstation. Both type of assays and platforms became the most popular and demanded lines at this ECCMID’s edition.
We would also like to mention that a poster about Speed-oligo® was presented at the Scientific Exhibition: Real-Time PCR screening is a cost-effective tool for the diagnosis of acute respiratory infection of viral aetiology.
